Positron emission tomography (PET) is a powerful nuclear imaging technique used widely nowdays in oncology, cardiology and neuropsychiatry. Scientific studies, clinical experience and economic analysis have shown that (PET) is clinically proven and cost effective cancer diagnostic method. The use of PET/CT has grown substantially in the past few years, with increasing number of hospitals and installations of PET/CT imaging centers each year. Various new technologies, physical methods and techniques are being rapidly developed. This symposium is devoted to discussion of new TOF PET methods, using of HEP detectors in medical physics of PET/CT technologies and consideration of the possibilities of applying the PET instruments and facilities for obtaining new HEP and nuclear data. Also a possible cooperation of Ukrainian, Polish and French scientists will be considered in this direction of medical physics.
